How do I create a Maison Matisse account?

What is the availability of items featured on the website?

We make every effort to ensure that the items offered for sale in our Maison-Matisse.com e-shop are available. Some errors or modifications may occur, especially in the case of simultaneous orders of the same product by several customers. In the event that a product is unavailable after placing your order, we will inform you by email or telephone as soon as possible, offering either to order another product shown on the site as a replacement, or to cancel your order.

How do I change or cancel the order I just placed?

If your order has already been processed by our logistics department, the order cannot be cancelled.

How long does it take to process my order?

Orders are prepared within 1 to 3 days. They are then collected by Chronopost or UPS and generally delivered to their destination within 48 hours. These times are calculated from the time the seller has received full payment of the price corresponding to the counterpart, if the seller has all the information required to fulfill the order.

Certain products or certain order quantities may require a longer delivery time, but this will be expressly indicated to the customer when the order is confirmed.

I would like to order a custom-made piece of furniture or make a special request. Is that possible?

The recipient's signature is required upon receipt of your package.

I didn't receive all the items in my order. What should I do?

What delivery methods are available?

Maison Matisse uses a standard delivery note and undertakes to deliver within 48 hours following the preparation of the package, which is estimated between 1 and 3 days. Orders are handled by Chronopost for deliveries in France and by UPS for all deliveries outside of France.

What are the shipping charges?

The cost of shipping is calculated according to the geographical area of delivery. These costs are confirmed to the customer prior to the order confirmation stage.

Certain larger products are subject to delivery charges on estimate, due to their weight and/or size. This information is indicated directly on the product sheet.

The items received are not correct or are defective. What should I do?

Maison Matisse uses the most reputable expertise. All Maison Matisse products are handcrafted. The workshops are mainly located in Europe (France or Italy) and in other parts of the world for specific types of craftsmanship.

The ceramic pieces in the La Musique collection are cast and unmolded by hand before the first two stages of firing for applying the decoration. The first firing stage transforms the clay into a bisque and the design is applied using a tissue paper perforated by a needle and then stamped with graphite, using the "spolvero" technique. Each piece is then decorated by hand, with the exception of the small dessert plates, which are engraved with the pattern. The second stage of firing sets the colors, before a third stage sets the matte enamel.

This process is the result of fine craftsmanship, which gives these pieces all their richness and reflects their intrinsic value. It leaves the trace of the hand gesture that transforms any design object into a unique piece.

How do I care for my product?

Maison Matisse recommends washing the ceramics of the La Musique collection by hand with a mild soap and a non-abrasive sponge and wiping gently with a lint-free cloth. Do not put in the dishwasher or microwave.

How are Maison Matisse products packaged?

All Maison Matisse products are delivered in blue cardboard boxes, which contain foam inside to protect the objects.

Will my order be gift-wrapped?

All products ordered on the Maison Matisse website are delivered in a blue box with the brand logo. Each of these boxes has foam inside to protect the object.

Can I include a personalized message with my gift order?

At the checkout stage, you will be able to add a message of up to 250 characters in length. This message will be included with your order.

Can I attach a price-free invoice to my gift order?

If you check "this order is a gift" when placing your order, we will not attach an invoice to your package. You will receive the order confirmation message at the email address you provided when you placed your order.

How many models of the pieces in the Maison Matisse 1869 collection are produced?

Each design in the 1869 collection is limited to a series of eight and four artist's proofs that are signed and numbered by Maison Matisse and each designer. Every piece comes with a Maison Matisse certificate of authenticity.

How do I exercise my right of withdrawal?

For orders delivered in the European Union, you have 14 days from receipt of your order to exercise your right of withdrawal.

To do so, please contact Maison Matisse customer service customer@maison-matisse.com, indicating your wish to exercise your right of withdrawal. This request must be submitted together with the order number and the invoice.

Once the request for right of withdrawal has been confirmed by Maison Matisse customer service, you will receive a prepaid return label. You will then be able to drop off your package at one of the UPS drop-off points closest to you: for more information click here.

You have 14 days to return the item(s) to us.

How do I return an item for a refund?

For orders delivered outside the European Union, you have a period of 14 calendar days from the date of delivery to return one or more items from your order. Returned products must be returned in their original packaging, in their original condition, new, unused and showing no trace of wear and tear, accompanied by their purchase invoice or a copy in the case of a partial return.

How do I submit a complaint about my order?

How will I be reimbursed and how long will it take?

The refund will be made to the payment method used to place the order.

If the payment method used for payment is no longer active (in the case of a change of credit card), Maison Matisse will contact you to select the method of reimbursement.

Maison Matisse makes every effort to process refunds as quickly as possible. Your refund will take place 15 working days following the reception of your return to our warehouse.
