Fenêtre Trio Vase

The Fenêtre Trio vase is the result of Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec joining forces with Maison Matisse
and the designers' tribute to Henri Matisse's work.

The vase reimagines an open window looking out, a recurring theme in Matisse's work.

The Fenêtre Trio vase features a terracotta rim made in a long-standing French tile factory.
The three earthenware vases have been made entirely by hand in the same studio.
A series of enameling processes have created color graduations. Both small vases are in sky blue shades and the big one is a graduation of green.

To achieve the base tone in anodized aluminum, the designers worked in the factory to create blue shades and get as close as possible to the color of the sky. Like silver-based photos, metal plates were soaked in six different baths. The result is a delicate graduation of blues, like a watercolor.

The Fenêtre Trio vase is made entirely by hand in France and produced in a series of eight and four artist's proofs.
Each piece is signed and numbered by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec and Maison Matisse.
