Canon large bowl

Maison Matisse is collaborating with designer Marta Bakowski to create their first collection of tableware and decorative objects.

The large earthenware platter named Canon, and the solar color palette that enhances it, are inspired by Henri Matisse's painting "La Musique" (1939). The combination of geometric and vegetal shapes forms a pictorial score that plunges the object into a timeless universe.

Created following an artisanal process, the large Canon platter is handpainted and coated with a matte glaze, giving it a unique finish. The generous dimensions of the object are impressive and it makes a fine centerpiece, platter or decorative item.
